Sound Services

After initial contact we will liaise with your Producer, Director and Musical Director to get a 'feel' of what you require for your production before quoting you for the work. We take the venue into consideration when choosing equipment and we will then put a package together that includes Sound Design, radio microphones, speakers, mixing desk and all other peripheral equipment required for your show. We rarely have to hire in anything as we have a vast stock of our own state-of- the-art equipment to choose from - much of which can be also be hired from us (see our Equipment Hire section). Prior to the show we will attend production meetings and rehearsals as required to get more acquainted with your production and during the week of the show we will rig everything in the venue prior to your technical rehearsal.

We supply our own crew not only to rig but there will always be at least one sound No. 2 (dependant on cast size) who will remain backstage throughout each performance to ensure body worn microphones are fitted / removed correctly and to deal with any problems that may occur. The majority of our sound No. 2s are female and all are either DBS checked or licensed chaperones in their own right so we can accommodate child cast members. They will be in constant contact with our Sound No.1 using our own communication system to ensure smooth running of the show. Quite often the band will be in the pit and we will mic as required and provide vocal fold-back to the MD and/or selected members of the band. Fold-back is also normally supplied to the stage so performers can hear cues from the band etc.

At the end of the run our crew will liaise with the stage manager and crew to break down and remove all our equipment. You will then be invoiced within a few days.
